Hi, I'm Audrey Wolf,

This will be my sixteenth year of teaching at Newman. During that time I have taught middle school, fourth and fifth grade as well as third. I have enjoyed them all and look forward to my ninth year of teaching third grade. I graduated from Buena Vista University and received my Master's Degree from St. Mary's University. I will be teaching Art, Math, Reading, Technology, Religion, Language and Writing in my homeroom. I especially enjoy Science and will be teaching all of the third grade Science.

My family consists of my husband Ralph, my son, Matt (N"98), and his wife Ellen who live in Minneapolis, and my daughter, Sarah (N '02), who lives in Des Moines. I also have a cat named Annie and a dog named Mollie. Our classroom pet is a hamster named Oreo.

In my free time I enjoy time with family and friends, reading, going to art shows, and doing crossword puzzles. I enjoy all types of music and am still "trying" to learn how to play the guitar!

Hello, my name is Mrs. Steenblock!

This is my second year of teaching third grade!  Many of you may know me from Newman Childcare.  There I taught the Pre-K class for three years and was also the unit leader for the before and after school program.  I received my AA degree from NIACC and my BA degree from Buena Vista University. I also earned a reading endorsement and look forward to encouraging your child to enjoy reading!

I live just outside of Mason City on a 10 acre farm.  We do not have any farm animals yet but plan on raising cows and chickens next year!  My husband Josh and I have been married for 6 years and have two beautiful girls, Avery who just turned 5 and entered Kindergarten this year and Taylor who is almost 3.  We also have one cat named Mittens who lives out in our barn, a cat named Monarch and her baby Snowball.  We also have a dwarf hamster named Patch.  Patch will be joining our classroom soon!  As a family we enjoy camping and sitting around the camp fire.  I also enjoy reading to my girls every night.  We especially enjoy Shel Silverstein poetry and reading all books relating to animals because Avery wants to become a vetrinarian!  I love listening to music and working on our many farm projects with my husband.  I am looking forward to teaching Social Studies and can't wait to begin a faith filled journey with your 3rd grader!
